Franco Colavecchia
Franco Colavecchia has been a designer for Opera and theatre for over fifty five years. His studied art at Lincoln College of Art and St. Martins College of Art, and stage design at Wimbledon College of Art. Franco started in the theatre as part of the back stage crew, but quickly became a designer for American national opera houses and then consequently a highly sought university instructor. Throughout his teaching and designing, Colavecchia has painted portraits, interiors and scenes. Many of his pieces for theatre were painted in acrylics, inks and gouache as those dry quickly for fast rendering.
